Lucky

I'm feeling very lucky right now after having such a great day. It didn't start until about 11 :00 when I woke up. I never do that but it felt so good. I came down here to go see Les Miserables (my favorite play) with my mother in law at the beautiful Fox Theatre and I figured since I was going to be here I might as well get my hair done because I haven't really found anyone in Ohio. Adrian (think Franc from Father of the Bride) was FABULOUS! Two neck massages, one hand massage, a scalp massage, and four hours later I was walking out of there just in time to make it to the play. Marci, Jared and Tiffany brought me my clothes to change into and a great dinner to eat in the car on the way because it took too long and I missed eating with them. I've never eaten a wedge salad and a steak in the back seat of a Honda - pretty interesting! I don't know what it is about that musical but it really touches me. I love the story and I am always amazed that someone can have that much talent to be on a stage in front of a huge crowd belting those beautiful songs out. I'm so glad I got to see it again and thanks to Del for flying solo this weekend. I really do feel lucky because I know days like this are few and far between.

Weather Weather Weather!

I guess we got a bit of Ike winds up here in Ohio last night. I had to give my friend Melinda a ride to her car and it was a little windy when we left. About an hour later I got home and it was pretty windy but still not horrible. I got home and Del was in the front yard flying a kite with Sydnee. Our neighbors came and and asked us what in the world we were doing out in the Wizard of Oz weather! I think she thought we were crazy. It got worse so we decided to go in and get dinner going. Luckily we were bbq-ing and our stove is gas because we lost power and had a nice candlelit dinner minus the nice table set up. (it's hard to see what you are even putting on your burger without much light) The wind kept howling and it was raining leaves. We have them everywhere and big branches were flying everywhere. I can't imagine being in a real tropical storm or hurricane! The power finally came back on and we thought all was well until I read my email this morning and realized Carli's school is canceled because of roof damage. Crazy stuff! This is probably the first of many weather related posts.

Missing Paige

We are really missing Paige! Lindsey is missing her dearly! Paige gave Lindsey a cute book with lots of pictures and great memories when we moved. At night when I go check on Lindsey in her bed it is usually on the pillow next to her. This morning when I walked in her room she had made her bed and this is how it looked. It really breaks my heart. I'm sure these two will always be close.
