Lindsey turned 10 last week. We had a family party where she made her own cake (it was delicious). She didn't want any help and once I tasted it I agreed she didn't need any help. She also had a party this year with a lot of friends. We went to see the Hannah Montana 3-d movie. They had a great time. Lindsey had a lot of friends there that she knew from different things (old school, new school, church, etc.) I was so impressed at how she made everyone feel so welcome and a part of the group even though they didn't all know each other. She is truly a kind little girl and so much fun. She is constantly making me laugh and is so quick with her witty little comments. I can't believe she is 10.

Ohio

I finally ventured to Ohio to visit Del and see what this moving talk is all about! It was great to meet everyone in "Del's World" out there. I met all the people he works with and they were great. I can see why he likes his job. We looked at houses and different areas. It was really beautiful and once I got in the right wardrobe mindset (Uggs instead of flip flops) the weather really wasn't too bad. Here is a picture of us in front of a house that I really like.

Carli and Delaney
There was a disagreement on our street and I'm not even sure what happened or what was said (I try hard to stay out of these things because I know they pass very quickly) and Carli and her friend Delaney must have felt pretty bad about some of the things that were said. They came into the house and worked hard on an apology poster! I thought it was very sincere and cute! Wouldn't it be so nice if adults got over things as fast as kids?

Hannah Montana
I think the highlight of January for us was going to see Hannah Montana. My kids were so excited and I have to admit I was just as excited as they were. I actually really like the TV show. I pretty much bullied two of my friends into going with me at 5 a.m. to get tickets at the arena in Glendale. (1 hr away) We all ended up getting tickets and my brother got some and brought his girls down to see it. My mom and my sister didn't want to miss out so they joined us. It was so fun to see the girls standing up dancing and singing and it was so refreshing to not have to worry about any of the content of her show. She wasn't dresssed like a bimbo and she didn't have use any bad language. It was a great night!

Christmas

We have lots of new memories from December. We have a float that Del built for our orthodontists that they use for a Christmas parade every year so we took it Christmas Caroling one night with some other families. We had so much fun! It was so cold but it was fun to see people come out of their houses and wave to us. Del was in charge of the sound so of course it was extra loud and we had two microphones that the kids took turns with. I think that will be a new tradition for our family. Of course a holiday doesn't go by without the girls doing some sort of "show". When the float isn't hooked up to a trailer it doubles as a "stage" for all the shows in our backyard. We had a great Christmas Day show with the neighbors. I knew they were serious when they gave Del a "press pass" for taking pics and told me to get the sharpie markers for the autograph signing after the show. They are so funny and have great imaginations - I love it! We are so happy to be seeing so much of Del lately. He hasn't traveled for a couple of weeks and we love having him home.
